The Royal Ballet School Affiliate Teacher Programme

Our Principal Kelly Hopkins has successfully completed The Affiliate Teacher Programme at the Royal Ballet School. After a year of study both online and at The Royal Ballet Upper School, Covent Garden Kelly has gained the top mark of Exceeding Expectation in her final assessment.
Kelly will continue studying with the Royal Ballet School this year and will be working with all of our teachers to implement the programme into our classical ballet classes.

The Affiliate Programme puts the individual needs of each students to the forefront of classical ballet training and includes more focus on fundamental training and individual learning outcomes. The programme includes wonderful creative works and gives the students the opportunity to use their own ideas and thought processes.

Students at NHAD will be able to take assessments through The Royal Ballet School and progress through the levels. We will be using a combination of The Royal Ballet School Affiliate Training Program and Royal Academy of Dance Exams.

We are excited to use this new programme and believe that this will take our students classical ballet study to another level and have a positive affect on all of their other training.
